XDC is a youth organization that will provide services to drummers grade 7th-12th from the Dallas/Fort Worth Areas (DFW). This organization will not only teach drum skills, but serve as a mentoring program to our youth. XDC will help keep our youth involved in a positive music learning program and help keep them focus on many levels. XDC's mission is to turn drummers into percussionist, and further their skills on a collegiate level while pursuing a college degree. We will be teaching students the basics of drumming such as: top 40 rudiments, fundamental playing techniques, teaching stick & drum height (looking together and playing clean together), different playing forms, and sight reading sheet music. With our guidance, we will compete both nationally and locally giving our students an opportunity to travel and also educate them.
